Sounds familiar - hahah i seem to rem this song sung by some local singer during my pri school days .... it's the same era as the Kopi O & 小人物的心声 ...... those 新瑶, 

 

phew, all these while all i know is no time. no time to do anything. i even try to audit my time - BUT still no time and i can't seem to figure out wat time do i have  .... even writing the blog is done at strange hours when there is nothing else that i can do.... in tat spate of 5mins or so each time - somehow it looks kinda outdated after a few weeks later.

 

A big mad rush, seriously i wonder what happen. It's work that has been taking such a toll on me that i'm like almost dead everyday or ...  seem still unable to regain myself

 

duno wat is happening .............. ya man 瞎忙 is the correct word.

 

这几天的废话特别的多， 也不知道是因为在这儿， 话也少了很多，更不用说笑声了。 有时， 可爱的思仪会让我感受到单纯的快乐， 或那电视短短的四十分钟播放的港剧也暂时让我忘了自己仍在东京。 光阴似箭， 转眼在这不知也过了数百天。 每天为了生活也劳碌，奔波，也不知是真正为了生活还是为了满足一些无聊的要求。好啦，有人说我杞人忧天，忧愁伤感，莫名其妙，闲人说梦话， 但人生何尝不是一场梦吗？ 当我们离开了学生生涯， 好像突然间目标再也不是考试的等级， 或学额的排名。

 

成功对每个人的定义都不同， 我也希望人人都能达到自己的目标。我蛮欣赏那些有理想有梦想的人，可以为了追逐自己的梦而奋斗何乐而不为呢？！ 可是懒散的我， 仍旧原地踏步， 好像还没走出自己所拟订的框框。

 

上周，我坐了在家附近的过山车， 或许同时也是目前人生里面临的另一次的过山车。记得，好害怕， 看到那高高的铁轨， 穿梭在高楼上，顿时让我感到猥怯，也怀疑自己的胆量。 过山车 -一个仿似简单的游乐场玩儿，竟然唤醒我对人的看法。其实，它是一个极度危险的玩儿。你将宝贵的生命随意的放在莫人所构建的玩具上，任由高速度而短暂的快感来激动情绪的流露。。。 回想起来很好笑也很可怕。。。似乎残酷的社会压力或自己驾驶的强硬派政策在时间的流逝慢慢的冰封了人因有喜怒哀乐，丧失了最宝贵的笑容。踏上它的人， 是无知吗，是挑战自己好胜的举动， 还是对自己的放纵。。。。 看看周围的年轻学子，因该是好玩吧， 但， 经过社会洗礼的成年人是否是这样？

 

还记当我被无助的索邦在相车位上，有一点紧张， 有一点后悔， 有一点害怕， 但有一股莫名其妙的放纵。 混乱的思绪参加了自己刻意混上的加锁，算了吧。。。。 听天由命吧 。。。 哈哈。。。 真的，最恐怖的是当车子攀爬那最高的铁轨，我的心跳也渐渐的加速，糟的是，攀爬的高度和何时的突降是我无法控制，无法琢磨的。。。。 尖叫啊 ！！！

 

没事，别担心，我仍在世哈哈。。。

 

写簿络各，可能是一项我在这最无聊的事。 或许，因这是我能用上华语的管道吧。。。 起初想在这让人分享我在东京一连串的趣事，但我发现，好多好多人喜欢看了后而细考我的内心深处。。。。 别想了，娱乐吗， 何必这么认真。 人的思绪千奇百怪，尤如天上的白云，因风向的规划而层次不穷，何必转牛角尖，伤坏脑筋啊 ！！ 哈哈。单凭这儿的文章，未免太肤浅了吧。 哈哈。。

好啦，醒啦，上班啦 。。。 还做白日梦，真不像话 。。。 哈哈哈哈 。。。 八婆又要来唠叨了

 

okies fans, incase u wondered what happened to azure....

 

just some updates ... yes lah, sure crazy thing again.

Life has been just busy. Infact very busy that i hardly find time to breathe. Went for a hair perm to try to look kawaii or the japanese look but well, it only lasted for a day. HAHAHA... so its back to frizzy hair. Ok the only consolation is that the hair-dresser looks cool and when i told him i wana a new image - in my broken japanese - he goes - HAI !! I I desu and then i burst out laughing.

 

Then its SALE in tokyo, went to Gotemaba but then bought nothing - lousy shopper - Yes as usual - i just duno how to shop.... besides shoes okies com'on i finally got my size here of cos sure buy lah -- other than that, nothing seem to catch my fancy. They all looked too Japanese ... oh shiacks wat am i talking about - its Tokyo , Japan ... ok ok.
anyways for those who LOVE fashion - its time to hit down the streets !! the yelling of the salesgirls errhh... sorry man i just simiply can't appreciate.

 

ok ok the main thing is CAKE MAKING hahaha... another stupid attempt of mine to do something which is crazy - to quote my Japanes teacher. My teacher is a super nice lady who well always gets a good laugh at all my nonsense & usually i will double check with her - if its crazy in Japanese sense to do things like this .... For once - i ask her if its MAD if i go karaok myself here - yes she say it is MAD, please do better not do it. ok fine.... i told her, Jap people like to eat facing the wall alone - then why i can't sing alone?? ok ok better not to disturb her haha.

 

So in some freakish mind - i went to join the cake/ bread making class at the new cooking studio .... and then sign up for an english bread making class .... sounds so gu niang rite - ooh ah niar going to make bread - this is such a joke haha... anyway i got a good time laughing - oh boy can't believe this .......... 

ok the BEST part is that - ur dear frend here went to sign up a cake making class in JAPANESE ... HAHAHA... told my Jap teacher abt this and again - she says again that i'm MAD.... u can imagine cartoon azure trying to pay super attention to the teacher .... trying so hard to decide -- errh put what inside HUH ?!? hahaha

Been wanting to b**ch around this topic for a damm long time ... never really know how to do it & where to start.... was talking to many friends about this & also gained much insights of being woman.

From the Taiwanese beauty show - 女人我最大, u will just gain a conclusion - there is no ugly woman but only lazy woman. Besides with the saying goes 一白遮三丑 so, basically - ladies -- just slather on ur whitening lotions all over  mannn.... haha sounds funny but

well, i also duno if it really works but who cares, just do it.

The societal expectations of a lady is cruel - okies guys, shut up first la. For girls, if u r pretty, chances are u will be most likely to be forgiven in mistakes & just being regarded as a bimbo, but well, u still get ur fair chance of meeting men who just need a pretty face to look to when they get home after a hard day's of work. Besides, a pretty face gives u an edge to probably being a tai tai hahahaaha....

The main problem comes - what happens if u are not born with big eyes, long legs, shapely body, nice hair dos..... then the world never fails to comfort you that - hey you got the brains, babe and so therefore you can be still earn your decent cent. Besides, there are men who dun give a damm about your looks -  as to quote my army platoon guys - mask the face & XXXX XXX XXXX. so sickening.... haha but i kinda like the bluntness nature of this phrase.

How about if u are also without brains - die lah like that, deemed to be a loser ?? wah life is so harsh. Ever, there was one pal of mine telling me, if a pretty face behaves badly -- it is ok, cos her looks compensated for it. if an ugly one -- oh boy, can't be forgiven, esp if she is stupid .... wah so damm sad ....

Another one tells me that - there are v few pretty girls in the university cos usually they will be so distracted that they cudn't study in school - yah how true - my grandma used to say, Long Hair Girls Can't Do Well In School. Her reasoning goes - too much distraction from tying up the hair to look good and hence generate further distractions from the opposite gender.... hahaha.

OK, we got to study hard, get good grades to go into a good job .... who says so. When u r in the job, even if you got there on ur merits - if you are pretty - probably u get more favours done -- which leads to the same concept & classification of u being a bimbo !!

Hence, you are constantly in a struggle to either play the fair game - which may take u very much extra mile for the effort or to use your beauty as the weapon. This is really very sad case, especially if you are the one who insist on playing fair game. The world seems never fair and no matter how good you are - as a lady, you just got to prove yourself doubly hard - so that u gain the recognition that - YOU ARE GOOD. or just ON PAR.

It's really depressing though considering the amount of efforts put in. It's not just about proving yourself at work, it's abt also looking good. Azure often stares in amazement at the ladies who spend hours infront of the mirror to doll themselves to perfection. A classic example are the japanese ladies. Heard some "horror" stories of ladies waking up 3 hours before time, just to set the hair, put on the loads of protective lotions, patiently waiting for it to dry and finally layers of make-up ....

It is a real horror - can't seem to see why women can't resist on poisoning yourself ....

Next, if u are just fairly decent or still unattached - this classify you as though the library books - from latest arrivals to reference section. The worse case is that as u promoted into the archive section, u get the speculations that you must be so picky, so left on the shelf... and most likely u have such hideous character or temperament .....

Supposed u r smart enuff to con a guy to buy that 1 carat stone & walk through a fairytale aisle with you - taking all the studio shots where for the 1st time in your life, u look absolutely fabulous like a princess .... (it must be lah, for such a costly affair haha) - still u wake up the next day and the euphoria is over ..... and u kana stuck with another new scope of life.

Life revolves around your kids or your husband..... no matter how much you want to deny this, it happens. Com'on, what can one do, once u r uploaded with a baby - invalid for 9 months or more .... suddenly, u feel that your colleagues turned hostile to you, cos u will be off and pouring tons of workload to them ... while you are suffering in silence of the nauseating morning syndrome. Then, your mind goes wild, with all the thoughts of insecurities about your job, and also if anyone who is friendly to you - has any hidden agenda. Suddenly , you lost your self-confidence.

If u are lucky enough to stay at home, chances are u get over-dosage of concerns from mother-in-laws whose only aim is to make you grow FAT - so that the baby is fat ... u lose your figure & also self confidence. The pride of motherhood beaming inside from time to time gets diminished when a tired husband comes back and show no signs of concerns till the child is born. Worse still, u get into bouts of pre-baby blues & the family relations get strained and probably some dear hubbies will use this as an excuse to succumb to the temptations of the world ....

Sounds like TVBS? haha maybe it is, azure seen it too much in real life. The TVBS series of 女人唔易做 showed some parts of it... which is really close to the heart.

I've got friends who married for either love or money. Obviously the happiest one will be with the combination of both haha. However, i've know some who were so deeply in love that nothing else matter. Is this really true? Humans are natural born actor & actresses u know. The most successful actress & actor is never known cos they act so well !!! hahah... Besides who wana wash ur dirty laundry in the open rite!??!!

Some guys told me that they feel the world has been too tough and would glady take the back seat & let the lady do the job... or others look for a complementing person - which the union shall be to increase the net asset value. Hahaha, the ironies of education.

Never know or think that i will actually go to so many breweries in my life .... just this year, been to Sapporo Brewery, Abashiri Brewery, Izu Brewery and now Asahi Brewery ??!?!!

Since this trip has been long long pre-arranged by Ms Lee, so let's just go lah ... although being Ms Popular here, sure double booking ... nevertheless haha, 1st come 1st served ....

God knows that OH MY GOD, it became a Japanese lesson trip ahhahah cos this is organised by a jap school and then Ms Lee is so on .... while ur dear frend here keep quiet lah ... duno say so much for wat hahaaha ... errh but then being singaporean - sure kana .... nihongo wakarimasen hahaha

 

anyways the long train ride gave me some time to talk to this new found friend & neighbour !! hehehe yah another sgs in the la tour gang....

hey u know its reminds me of APB hahaha our very own Tiger Beer Brewery ahahah & not to mention my beloved F&N Coca-cola - as the tour reminds me of the days when i was running around in the coke factory as an intern with chief engineer Mr Choong then. He is a nice man, a man with many admirable qualities and also a great passion for engineering. I still remember that he says "a lot you have to learn, my young paduan", in the fields of engineering - haha sounds like Yoda aka Star Wars .... Oops ... okies better stop here HAHAHA so be it.

okies man end of the day go brewery is to have free beer lah ... 骗酒喝 hahaha

but hey this is abit let down leh, there only 1 counter offering 2 types of Asahi beer - the malt & the super dry one .... so having the MUST BE SPECIAL Lah, go n wack both lor ....
and thanks Hor guys, the black one errh ... come to think our duo Masters Ang & San says that with a RAW EGG its aphrodisiac  ...... hey mate.... faint ... it taste like the ABC stout back home haha... but must say that Sapporo beer counter is more classic - with the fire-place & great variety of beers -- even innovatives like Choc Beer cocktail .... nice leh i tried hehehe

 

anyways the best part is the makan la  .... as usual wat. how can life be without gourmet food and we get served by the japanese teachers haha errhh which mean more nihongo ahhaha... and they demonstrate to grill the rice cake with some soya sauce, hey not bad leh hehehe 黑酱油饭 hahah as it reminds what my grandma lovingly said - got food no eat, next time put soya sauce on rice and eat. hahaha oops. but not bad lah seriously on the seaweed n grill

Seriously in a bad shape with all the recent #$%^& things happening with me & my colleagues hv been trying to recommend me to some spa or relaxation stuffs here in Tokyo.  Mannn... i seriously need a break from all these @#$% happening .... been so tired since the monkey exams n also trips n also work ... this stint really .......  1 adjective --> tiring

 

never hv i felt so tired, so lack of time, so lack of effort in anything i do, whether work or personal ...  -- Gosh i need my dosage of  Coca - Cola -- wait let me grab a bottle  --- okies shiaks before i get into another round of Complain Queen session... let me share with the strange feeling of SPA.

 

hey wat's spa mannn? since this is such a booming industry in SG and well okies i'm a victim of it in Bangkok & Bintan & etc ... oops.... my girlfriend use to tell me, "Oh its simply refreshing mannn !! oh i feel so good" and well when i see the  chit slip - how good can it be when 60mins of feel good factor cost u nearly $100 sgd  -- compare this when u slog like shit for 1 hr in the office -- can get back or not ...

somehow the maths dun tally leh ...

 

then there is another one who tells me, "hey, u gotta pamper urself" oh greats, since when pampering yourself attributes to paying off costly spa packages only to find that u got 2 bucks to eat that wantan mee.....

 

hahaha its weird. esp when i read advertisements on them -- you've arrived, you deserved it, pamper yourself, it's time now ..... wah sounds like machiam commandments that u gotta do. Not bad, thumbs up to the marketing gurus.

 

okok wah liao signs of old age .... i'm supposed to describe the pig's out La Qua haha ....  finally, i decided to give in to these marketing effort and Ms Kiam Kana aka azure goes to a cool spa in La Qua ....

 

It's really nice !! One thing u gotta admire is that the Japanese are very thoughtful with regards to relaxation stuffs... they even got a bar counter of the latest cosmetics n able to give u a cosmetic lesson !!! wah liao can't fight man ...

okies to the STRONG recommendation by Matsunaga san - she is my advisor on all the massages n so on ... she is a real supporter to these haha .... so i took the apparently KOREAN style body scrub.

 

With much skeptism & as always cynical, i went into the room. There u get greeted by the Aunties dressed up in diver's suit ... cool mann...errh wat's diving suit to be with body scrub. There, 5 yellow tables and as the girls lie on them, Diving Aunties put on a dammm power glove n start SCRUBING u with all their might ..... (okies R rated)

 

Azure, there, i totally hv the feeling of our fish on chopping board feeling - okies the yellow table looks like the chopping board - cos its wrapped in water proof non-slip mat ... and well oh gosh i feel like a fat lump of meat on the table ... helplessly fat.

 

oh Auntie greets u and started her bout of SCRUB ... wah liao eh i feel like a pig mannn ur fats swaying every other bit with the scrub... uncontrollable. Shiacks is this how pigs feel when the pig farmers wash them ?!?!  At that point in time, your fats are left to the mercy of the Diver Auntie as she performs her magic..... somehow i start to think - how is her life like - a day in the life of diving auntie - where u scrub bodies everyday  - shiacks -- sounds like some mortuary rituals ... oh my god, this is getting bad .... as i feel her big rough gloves over me .... okies i decided to close my eyes & to wish it can be all over ASAP .... cos i can't turn around to see other women hahahahah its too funny, i will start laughing like an idiot. oh my i feel REALLY fat.

 

okies man ... finally she stopped & in her japanese which i hardly understand her, she asked me to see my dead skin - GROSS - alemak eh !!! so ddamm disgusting & she looked so happy machiam mission accomplished ... oh my, her look beaming with sense of accomplishment starkly contrast my look of severe embarrassment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wah liao so many black gold ... faint .... pls kill me .... hahaha never know the Korean scrub is that POWER ....

 

and then onwards with her massage from toe to the body -- shit i better start picking up more jap - duno how to tell her, wah liao damm pain siah hahaha ..... not to mention another round of fats squeezing actions .... then she happily moved over to wash my hair and perform a NERVE- breaking massage on the head. wah liao eh its really nerve breaking - haven’t had such forceful head massage in my life - oh anyway this is the 1st official one hahahha

 

wah liao eh i nearly feel my brain squashed hahah ... praying damm hard that my skull is up to the pressure - haven't tested it before ....

okies finally the ordeal is over ... i think i'm so tired .... hahah, got off the table and amazing, Diver Auntie still with a BIG SMILE n bow n thank u and she is so professional, cos i can't understand wat she is saying, she points me to the sauna - ask me to stay here or so and then also first go to drink water .... and then bow > 90 deg with an arigato ... wah liao eh  u gotta give this lady your respect mann ...

 

Just as i was picturing my japanese yen flying with the wings .... as i stepped back into the locker room, by pass a full length mirror. okies me not a fan of mirrors, just can't face the truth. Truth hurts. haha. To my surprise, wah since when i'm so fair .... can't believe it.... u mean i'm been covered with all the dead skin?!?!??! even my face - though no facial, seems ok enough to go home un-make-up. sure or not??! hey its 10.30pm, okies is my fatigue syndrome driving me mad !??!!  this self indulgence & amazement of a spa treatment made me paused for 5sec .....

 

okies back to reality, go get changed, n pay your Japanese yen .... wah liao eh heartache ahh, waht beauty fairer skin craps ...........

Finally, a weekend to literally smell the roses. It's has been severely overdue mann....  as in the rose season is gonna be over like ... TODAY!! shiacks... 岁月不留人， oh man i absolutely can't stand this .....not the 岁月 part, but the fact that it’s MONDAY again ..... uurrgghhhh and i haven't got enough sleep - apart from the Sat & Sun till noon. haha. ok that's where all my time goes. simply just suffering from the constant fatigue syndrome

 

hahaha as much as i thought i can get enuff rest, nothing such as that happen, since my luggage remains locked like a treasure chest since i returned to tokyo - ok better dun open it or the bah wu ....oooohhh... haha i duno man. okies, status report - its been 90% emptied as of yesterday but the remnants still lie innocently in my living room - ok Mr Big Man got a shock at the state of my hse, but who cares ...  cos the highlight of this week is the KEISEI Rose Garden & Jacky Cheung !!!

 

Yes, i've been trying to go this Keisei rose garden which boast of 6000++ species of roses & this is built by the same man who held the same idealism of having Tokyo disneyland.... apparently he is a man of dreams & vision & he loves roses - so its nice to go n see how it is like - a garden built not for tourist $$ but to satisfy the vision of a man -- i'm quite inspired by these sort since the world has become so ugly .....

Master Ang & San just missed this lor-mantic garden hahaha and sorry guys i didn't get any lor-man-tic hunk there - kinda spoiler to your painted scenario haha. no worries - the air is indeed refreshing & i haven't seen nor smell before such strong enduring scent of the roses ..... very very romantic ....

 

i like the place - infact it even showcase a series of disney roses!!!  somehow the flowers look worn out - i shld hv just come earlier but no chance at all ... all the trips n work n studying just cruelly burnt each & every weekend.

someone ever asked me what's there with liking flowers - they die so fast & remind one that nothing is constant in life. [okies besides the fact that its so exp] it's quite true though, as i spend my Jap yen on such indulgence and then they last for just  a week or so. perhaps ppl are reading too much into it lah. Life's too short to be so serious.

 

Okies, then onwards to LaLa port - apparently the Yat Kun is there haha... nopes i'm not missing Kaya dun worry.... just tat  our chiyoda's little sweety Chloe is there haha, so took an excuse & gate crash into dinner hahaha .... Grilled Lobster & shrimps with Mai Tai cocktail on white rum -- simply intoxicating hahaha

 

Then next it’s JACKY CHEUNG  !!!!!!!!! hahahah yoohoos mann ... beloved 张学友 world tour 07 live in tokyo forum !!!! how can anyone missed it, mannn.... this is the 2nd concert that i caught here. besides the Kenny G where i got to shake his hand ... this one, i get to see the MAN himself haha ... never really into such things but ..... these are the few artists that accompanied my growing up days.....  i still remember very vividly, was so stingy and have to save sgd 6.50 to buy the cassettes of Kenny G, Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau, Leon Lai, 小虎队 and also singing & jumping with their songs in my Talentime contests haha. Thinking back i feel so embarrassed now - duno how many pp hv heard how i crooned in school Hahahaha. Must be such a torture for them hahaha.  Still remember that uncle in the Clementi The Big Book Shop is fabulous - i told him i got singing contest and he volunteered to dub the songs without the singers for me !!!! fantastic rite !!! All the sneaking out efforts from sch to clementi now seemed so funny haha.

 

Classic songs such as 情书，爱你一些，朋友, 她来看我的演唱会 loads of it just reminds me of those sweet, innocent childhood days, where life is about not being late for school and bring your CHINESE textbook - if not kana spanking fr Ms Cheong haha...
 吻别 oh my goodness i almost tear-ed mannn with all the slow songs... never fails to remind me of my own life & past.... maybe i haven't let go or maybe it's there all along.... watever it is, i'm just totally absorbed within ....

 

Jacky still better at the slow songs ... and for a long long time i get to listen to the cantonese ones.... duno the name but i heard it before. somehow i seem to forget that i'm in tokyo ... but Jacky's nihongo never fail to remind me that. hahaha he was trying to speak in japanese but i would rather he speak in chinese or cantonese haha ..

 

So tat's the wk'd, where got time to do laundry rite!?!?  - u ought to be jokking ....

Instead of falling to the traps retail therapy -- shiakss its so dammm #$%^&* hard NOT to ... hahaha esp being a siao zar bor and hearing that things like jewelleries are cheaper in HK & Macau -- shiackkks sounds like its a gonner... okies pls lah, once a while have to be a bimbo here n there rite. if not, life's not worth living ... hahaha... how shallow - let me indulge in this shallowness for the next 5 secs... still i bought nothing. KNS.

 

Hong Kong - the land of 买东西，吃东西，买东西，吃东西 - as in the TV commercials well set in my brain since 90's in SG - plus the fact that SG is going to have a GST hike of 7%, wah liao eh, better BUY NOW syndrome reacting mannn...

Apparently one of the delicacies that i had tried when i 1st went to HK at an age of 14 besides the humph-just-so nice 上汤龙虾 (lobsters), seafood -- oohhh .... okies shits i sound so porky myself here hahaha ... ok then its the heavenly roasted goose & the pork slices -- okies me never really a fan of goose or pork meat but the BBQ stuffs in HK is just so sinfully nice .... heheh those who knows me know that i dun take the pork fatty meat....

 

Then was chatting with my dear neighbour here on wat to buy in HK, the goose factor came in action !! haha... since i got a frend here to share my sinful attempt to sink my teeth in those crispy fat goose, way to go mann... i've decided to perform another classic stunt for comma radian spirit haha.

 

First thing first - proper planning is essential. u know these days airport so smart, so better be smarter or your goose ends up on his lunchbox pantry. So source out ur local allies to listen to ground noise. Of cos, the best person to do it is Mr HK Big Man - who has kindly checked it out the shop that its OK to pack for airplane - prior to day before. Cool. set.

 

Then its the time factor.... as i was abt set to get off to Lam Gui Fong there - at 1st this time tot wah seh swee swee enuff time to buy goose n do some shopping for dresses - getting abit the ah pui liao bo pian.... -- then wah liao, life has to be so damm happening, kana caught by a super friendly colleague of mine -- which his frendliness is kinda plastic at this time -- insist on buying the so called Best in the World Kopi for me & my boss. wah liao eh.. ok la i quite appreciative cos no one in the office actually bored to bring me out to la kopi -- realities of working life, BUT its gonna screw up the Goose & Porky & dress affair damm big time !!!!!

 

ok bo pian, selective priority - shld i sacrifice my le commaradian spirit or wana to be able to be a dressy bimbo seeking attention ... and even if i manage to get the goose - Mr Custom officers might just decide to confiscate it - and there are 2 rounds of them - HK & Jap. sighs... if that happens, my HKD$ & the goose can kiss good-bye to me. then its DUAL LOSS .... shit ... then let me do a calculated risk-reward scenario .... n also to relook at my "investment objectives" ok set. Risk Taking Person. so GO AHEAD.

So CHARGE mannn... down the office and onwards in my freaking thin high heels marching to Goose Place. Maybe the cloudy sky in HK decided to add an element of fun & challenge to me ..... suddenly it POURED like nobody biz .... shitttt just as i checked in my one & only SGD$1 brolly into the luggage ... it has to RAIN ....

 

Mann .... wat the cartoon, why can't life be simple for me .... the only day where i'm unarmed  with brolly, it must rain...
ok bo chap lah, rain rain lor. as i walked i asked if the effort is worth it & wat if Mr Custom decides to take it as his dinner bento ....
then i wished & prayed - Please lah God, can dun rain or not ..... miraculously, the SUPER SIAO rain was smaller - WAH LIAO EH, so cool meh, wah think the Heng Factor's been power up.... okies mann....then as i think i lost my way, i got a cool guy to give GPRS standing of me to the place haha.... COOL  made it in.

 

Using my KNS Cantonese, i asked innocently to the lady behind the cashier counter, "can i bring it up the plane" she didn't answer me n nod n then using her mike to say  "坐飞机" ("sit aeroplane") made some announcement and ask me to pay n wait there. Being a KS SG, of cos, as Uncle Goose Packer is packing the goose, Azure asked again "errh Uncle, sure can bring up to aeroplane HOR ?" he nod didn't wana face me nor answer me...

 

SShiacks.... the suspicious mind of woman gets ignited - shittt sure or not, if i'm Goose seller, of cos i also say CAN lah, it the sales effort & besides i get a deal done and this is a tourist - so stupid, its ok. hahaha ... signs of being too long a sales guy.  Nevertheless, i just keeping my fingers crossed as well as my neighbour's .... HK$250 bucks versus sinful dinner aka commaradian ok lah, risk reward still acceptable ... ON-ed

 

Just when morale got boosted with ON-ed goose & porky in this red bright paper bag -- errh can someone suggest it to be less bright -- the whole airport can tell that its Goose haha. -- as i open the restaurant door, its POURING worse than cats & dogs, brollys which are not strong can't take it either ... people are rushing for cabs  & the site is confusion. so i tried to get a cab, despite my expensive suit & japan thin heels

in the rain and shiaks my laptop n gucci bag - wah liao this is indeed a horror ... can't grab.... no choice gotta rely on Heng Factor again ....

 

Watch seems tickering damm fast ... i might just miss my flight if i wait for the dun-seem-to-stop rain .... wat to do, PRAY LOR for a miracle. AI YAH, God can dun rain or not ??!? Somehow it WORKED!!!???!! the rain goes thinner & i was able to walk in the light rain !!!

hahah sounds like the TVBS rain setting background guys are filming my show like that - controlling the rain .... haha

HOH SEH LAH, no CAB, WALK BACK.... so hurriedly in this humid weather of freaky dune how hot it is n the light rain - bashing thru the crowds ... and so checking if my make-up ran as i walked past the mirrors of the buildings -- hey this is impt leh, cos hor, i forgot to bring a waterproof mascara hahaha -- so incase i look like a BIG PANDA hahahah .... haha life has to funny rite - trying to look still ever so swee when in such pathetic stage haha .... i give up watching myself haha...

 

Next, its the ingenious packing. Well trained & pre-planned in great detail with reference from the Durian Uncle in Geylang - got inspired by his use of ziplockbags .... so while in the express train shuttle i was so bz, trying to pack the goose - heng ahh the ziplock is BIG enuff to pack the box haha !!! so its 2 of them !! the Porky & the Goose. This shall eliminate the smell hehee.... n then put it in the box n then into my Agnes B bag - okies this is a damm big risk ok cos the Goose & Porky may decide to drip n make a souvenir stain on my Stunt attempt .... being a zar bor, this is going to be a nitemare. ok the bag is not that ex but ai yah cheapo me can ?!?!?

 

Finally, to destroy the evidence of the bright red paper bag, dump it in the dustbin at the airport to prevent suspicion.

 

Now i look absolutely on a biz trip - in suit n hangbags & heldhelds in black heels & camou with perfect make-up. One word summarised it - swee.

 

then its the X-factor. HK custom was ok, SAFE thru the camera .... phew, haha i was so happy but hv to remain calm .... next one is Jit Puen Uncle liao .... 

 

Those LCD screens showing the FORBIDDEN FOOD in Narita airport looks especially glaring ... for a good citizen like me.... so as i collect my luggage, images of beef / pork jerky & others is a NO NO to entry - shiacks i've been buying bak guar leh - u mean its forbidden?!?! haha ... okies...  as i approach Mr Jit Puen - abit worried that he ask me to open my bag ...

So dinner's ON tonite where XF will be whipping up some of her delicious veg dish & main entree - Roast Goose & Porky. She just reminded me, my Hakodate Red Wine still in her house. Wine & Goose & Porky - sounds like a good combi

okies to justify myself i shall scrap off fats from the skin ... this stunt really tires me mentally more than the USDJPY new high haha. now i feel like kooning.......................

 

somehow my life seems to be full of adventures; errhh .... "mis-adventures" is the more appropriate word. been so so so freaking tired in the weekdays and then "being a stoopid & KS tourist" in the weekends kills me further  ... ok ok makes my battery totally flat. some friends asked "what the s#$%^ are u doing, all the craps. can u JUST do NOTHING?"  ok not tat i'm hyperactive - i like doing nothing actually HA HA HA HA ... OH MAN i LOVE the zhour boh feel .............

 

As planned - NOTHING - for this weekend, sure SOMETHING going to happen. As i thought to myself, what a bright sunny saturday. hey somehow my phone alarm didn't sound - who bother, maybe its flat battery again -- the emails keep beeping into my blackberry & of cos now that i seldom use my cheapo samsung 3g phone fr Singapore - except using its camera mode ... sometimes i just never charge it. No one calls anyway - errh better not -- M1 charges me SGD $3 per minute !!! ok the M1 boy who told me, said he is shocked to find that out himself when i called them up earlier abt what's the auto-roaming charges -- so its not me ok. 3 bucks -- wah liao 2 bowls of chinchow with attap chee -- ok now i feel like having it.

 

eh eh eh back to the dunken story. so being Ms Popular, HOW CAN NO ONE CALL ME rite??!! hahaha ok ok being such a hao lian here... ok at least some SMS lah ....

LIFE just has to be FARNNIE ... ok perhaps too many emails & too much vibrations - ok i always set it to vibrate mood, since i'm not suppose to pick up any calls in the office. So dear black-berry decided to go for a cool facial cleansing and drag along its Singapore-Korean frend, Samsung into the basin !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Just imagine the HORROR on my face then - waht the !@#$%^&* !!!! shitttttt....

 

frantically i fished out the blackberry - it has became water-black-berry soup haha, the last msg i saw before it went into RIP zone was Mr ATP's msg telling me that there is a Thai festival at the Yoyogi park selling my fav LUI LIAN "durian" for 500yen..... wah liao durian leh ... MUST GO... but now how how wah liao ask them buy for me - hahah, i think i must be mad to even still think abt durian when berry is going into twlight zone ..... i tried to press the keyboard to reply but it gave nonsensical alphabet -- shiackkkss.... somehow it's death seems impending ... AARRHGGHH how to answer to my tech guys in ofc !!

 

then hey where is my Samsung ?!?! being so brotherhood - it joined in to the pool of nourishing facial waters .... quick quick, press it up, hey it still looks OK leh, HENG HENG ahh if not my SGD198 bucks gone - okies its a cheapo phone, well, small small 3G, who cares lah... So now all u know, Samsung is a good diver, a wipe with the towel, its ready for action ..... sms went thru, it seemed OK.

 

wah liao eh, wat day is it man, how come so !@#$%^&. checked the Fengshui calendar - hey it's a good day leh ... sigh...

 

Remove the battery, took up the sim card, on the hairdryer - WACK it .....
SHITTT ... water vapour, dun look good. tap tap ... OH MY GOD, its leaking water fr within ...

WIPE. sun it ... looks damm bad....  where is my span-nar ... ok man disect it ... dripping SK2 waters out .. shacks ... looks a gonner.
ok set hairdryer - turbo heat -- shittt... it's too hot, what if the mechanism can't take it ... ok cool heat mode.

 

Next, get some assistant; since i duno anything abt handphone... ask Mr Internet - google & yahoo answers - some guys gave answer on "how to save wet handphone" - put it in OVEN in low heat , be careful not to melt the screen.

 

Oops sounds like a delicate operation. shackks 1st timer abit the hard. Plus the Jit Puen Oven in my kitchen - we have a language problem - till now it has never been resolved. Shacks ... risk or not, being alienated ... still think that hair-dryer is a better working assistant.

ok it looks dry enuff -- PRAY -- fixed it back and put the battery - hey it lights up - wah liao eh, the screen looks weird, dots of speckles of water ... looks like a wetted, discoloured screen ...the new darkened stripped "design" background of the screen isn't fancy ... it looked sick ... the keyboard didn't respond.

 

Before any more deduction, the batt is going to go flat - sound like 回光返照 .... it needs electricity ... plug it in ... shacks black screen ... did i BUST it with electric circult -- shacks mannn... MISTAKE ... wah liao learnt tat water is a conductor of electricity - it might just over-powered the resistants in the circuit bread board & WHHAMMMPP...

 

ok back to hair-dryer mood. it seems dry but didn't wana risk seeing another disfigured screen look & get disappointed. just leave it to the hands of fate. maybe we fateless. put it at the window there. Hope the low humdity of nature & the sun on sunday will give it some blessings.

 

So my entire weekend - contactless, burnt out with the surgery.

 

Ok i still rem to order flowers for Mother's Day - dun say like tat lah, already damm low MORALE.

 

This Monday morning - again late for work. packed my battery, simcard to the office, super damm low morale.... set it up properly and since battery is almost flat and nothing cud be worse. i plug it in the USB charger in the office.

Black screen - Blue screen lighed up --> eeehhhh, looks NORMAL the blue screen !! but its still in the hourglass cursor mood.... rotating n rotating ... dun look good. ok work first since i'm late .... and WALLLAAAAA

yoohoos, okies back in full force to the office on the golden week ....

sigh, i think i must be siao liao man or "sort sort" the wired in the head to sound so enthu this wk when... its the Japan Golden Week - which means most Japanese are off this week - cool mannn, except ur good frend here, who is stuck here being neither a Jit Puen national nor working for Jit Puen market ...

 so sian n sad to be working on Labour day when the whole world  -- ok here i refer to SG , ok i'm myopic, who cares haha -- is not working and i'm in the boring office and the world moves on as though as nothing happened .... then had a good chat with long time no sound no picture frends such Teacher Lingji, Ms ZQ, Mr NG & his dogs as well as the regulars hahah, didn't know azure's blog so liak gu (aka popular) hahaaha... ok man ... let me update u on my latest travelling highlights to ---> Okutama

okies dun ask me who suggested this plc. haha. not me la. this time, Master San decided to demonstrate her prowess after following azure's torturous bus journeys haha. So Master Ang decided to msg me and said OK ON-ed desu. go see okutama mt and lake and also limestone cave!

"huh ?! Jit Puen got limestone cave one meh? ok la Australia, NZ ok ... see already la, Jit Puen Tokyo leh, got meh??" eh mia siao siao, tell u seriously got leh. haha

so ON-ed by them, i bo pian go lor. hahah better say quick - i'm willing, before they decide to kill me after reading this blog hahaha .... they r now off to Izu for the golden week. Swee man, so Master San decide to test me in my Sat waking up skills, with a 7.30am meeting at Shinjuku ..... FAINTED .... so cruel 7.30am leh, wah liao eh, super siao on ... ok ok bo pian, Okutama is like 91mins train ride on the fastest train. Guai guai lah, just go lor.....

Shacks, Shinjuku station is never a good station to meet. too big too confusing ... there i blur again lah. got an sms fr them say meet at South gate.... chaim man, got WEST got EAST no North no South leh !!! HOW !! then as i blur, one gang came up to me. The lady flashed her pass - POLICE. ok man i kana check IC .... apparently i asked my colleagues, they like to check kids whom they suspect are run-aways from home .... wah liao eh, i so big liao still RUN-AWAY HOME Girl ?!?! hahah kana sai mann... now i duno to feel flattered or ... panic - i'm late for the train mannn...

hahah ok ok with the heng factor, bo chap lah get on the platform n well, there is no South gate, just enter the train fr East / West then the train move from South to North hahaha...damm blur hahah, heng man, we managed to meet up n so, double n tripled check tat its the correct carriage - as the train separate one leh!! with the half dead azure, it's left to the discretion of the duo Masters ....

FINALLY we arrived..... looks ulu, now i know why when i asked my colleagues, they stared at me in amazement - go there for wat ? haha. ok ok. so  as planned 1st ting 1st, chiong the information centre and act like innocent kids asking for directions - hey it helps leh, the auntie there gave us a brochure - which enable us to get discounts for limestone cave entrance for 100yen less !! hahah ok ok no big $ la but any savings is most welcomed in this super cheapo group haha.

 --aside, when we were there, we feel we are in wrong attire mann... only wear a jacket or windbreaker, act cool lah and small shoulder bag??!?  Everyone there is quite gung ho, with backpackers style-bag and looks pro mannn.... hahah now duno who is more gung ho or cool haha

ok man, BUS ride again heheh this time 25mins and we have to walk for another 25mins .... ok here, think all of us wake up liao, get off n started to admire how green the whole area is !! The big cedar trees, the flowers, u still see some remnants of the cherry blossom giving it spots of pink against the green background. Sugoi desu ne. can't imagine we are still within tokyo though .... heheh then there we see a huge area of Cactus there, wah got flower somemore !! in yellow and pink !! ... wah seh must be so heng to be able to see those big flowers, we rush there to snap it with our digi cams ....its a MUST-TAKE .... there we were comparing the flowers, some looked bad, some ok ok... then Ms Ann came in (a new frend of Master San) she says, hey the flowers are fake lah !! hahahahah wah liao eh, so damm mah-lu !!! hahahah the Japanese who saw us then must be laughing at these idiots hahahah

ok ok we hv to pick ourselves up with grace n onwards to the 日原鍾乳洞 Nippara cave lah, we are here for it rite.... ok ok so we went there, happily with the discount. Gosh, its really small mannn... and errhh we all think its not tourist at all... well, usually u imagine seeing these illuminated with spot lights in colors n so on ... here its with boring long white florescent tube errhh ... somehow, its more like those Indianna Jones's mines where u lost all civilisation contact or handphone network then a limestone cave hahaha.... abit spooky, but as the Masters says, its LOMANTIC mah.... lor the head lah ... ahahaha

finally the highlight of the event, 水琴窟... apparently, the water drips n some musical sounds can be heard, u need to be really superbly absolutely quiet... as we were hearing the ding ..... deng ... ding ... dongs ... then GOOORRRR....ERRGGOORRCCHH  ....someone stomach decided to tell us its  -- Time for Makan !!! hahaahha wah liao eh can u imagine our laughter in there as Master Ang tries very hard to record the nature's natural sounds, errh our stomach natural sound seems louder hahahah .... stressed haha ... let's get out before our laughter generate some resenence and God knows what else besides water is dripping down hahah.....

okies then its onboard the bus again to another locale - the Okutama lake. errh okies man, but abit the Teoh Pian “被骗” feeling cos its an artificial lake which is formed because of a dam there hahaha ... nevertheless, our adventure spirit in food takes us to have a series of makan session there hahaha  with our hot charcoal potato - where the Uncle selling it has great amazement at how we share the potato ... n also we had some weird looking jelly like duno wat with some strange tou fu ... haha somehow, HEY we are supposed to be hikking ?!?!?!

 

 

Another mad bus journey but this time, only  6hrs-ish ahahaa... so it's a no brainer after we survived the 13hr busu ...

This trip been another mad trip hahah, well wat can u expect from the duo Masters. Highlight of the event - FINALLY we managed to makan our CHERRY BLOSSOM soft cone !!! hahah well well it became a super big deal when ur dear truly keep searching for it .... hahah ...

 

ok ok the real highlights are the world heritage places that we are chionging man ....of cos la, we gotta make our $$ worth rite !! hahaha...

First stop at Osaka where its the furthest the bus can go .... we hop on the train in search of Himeji castle aka White Heron Castle .... apparently it was never destroyed in war and one of the oldest surviving castle fr their medieval times .... cool siahhh... my jap teacher told me that its JAPAN's BEST ... ok ok so since its a BEST, then its a MUST SEE lah, so being kapor & ks, CHIONG ahhh .... 

indeed its beautiful, haha PERFECT timing, the cherry blossom is still there .... well as Master Ang said, ai yoh see so much sian liao - haha complancy at act, but Master San remains intrigued by the tulips there ... hahaha ... ok ok there we decided that yah looks good outside, inside - errh if i were borned then n stayed there, it will be so boring hahahaa.... ok ok and we sort of speculate that the princess living there is quite chio .... hahaa..

ya ya kyoto again ?!? haha ok ok la, this time round, juz a short stint to see the Golden Pavilion which azure sorely missed out on that last yr with On the Road with JB Mike ... so its a treat !! not bad at all, quite nice mannn ... but well , can see cannot touch, so we only can take pics far far there, but indeed its beautiful ....

 

time for our classic joke - haha - how can life be plain with azure around. This time its Uncle Taxi. Being KS abt the Golden temple closing time, its time for a BIG RUSH, so azure suggested a cab, mindless abt the distance -- so u can imagine the heart pain while thinking our Yen flying off with wings hahaha .... Here we met a very chatty Uncle Taxi. He is so siao on. Perhaps damm proud abt his area haha... so began taking the map n start non-stop with his Japanese after we spoke some Japanese - he feels we all damm power & as if we sure understand him .... errhh... half the time duno waht he is talking abt, so ya ya ya we "hai" "hai" everything including that we are student on vacation and tour -- well, Master Ang, decided to knock on my head ... -- alemak true mah, we are technically student - learning Jap wat ... ok ok ... then as the TAXI METER JUMPED ... my eyes began to glue to it... and i spoke in chinese "我的妈啊， 我可以跟他说我只有2,000 yen 吗 ?” hahahah cos heart pain man...as the meter surpass 2,000 yen... somehow Uncle Taxi laffed. i tot probably he duno wat i was talking... then later as he drove, he pointed the landmarks  on which temple i shld go for study luck - hahah HENG HENG school factor -- which temple for having kids etc and also the place to see the cherry blossom ... and when we ask about seeing Geisha, he replied - no no, old woman, now is Maiko (in jap of cos) hahah ok ok.

 

Being so friendly, he pointed there is his house. hehehe straight away we replied in Jap - WOW u money many many man !! hahah ok broken Jap & he laff !! There it was 30mins to the closing of the pavilion, he dropped us at the traffic red light, it was 2,480yen ..... and as i gave him the fare, he returned me and only took 2,000yen !!! and say DISCOUNT-TO , daijobu ("ok" in jap) huh ?!?! wah at tat instant, u mean he knows wat i was talking earlier hahahha Oops hahah and HE LAFF hahah.. ok ok, then i rem my japanese calls - tell him Shinsetsu na = which means he is SO KIND !! hahaha he LAFF again ... alemak ... ok must be a joker SG student he tot .... my Jap teacher till now still v amazed how come i always get discounts in weird places.... hahah never heard of taxi discount ....

ok ok back to the main highlights haha... so its snap snap for pavilion, snap snap at the Gion ... we all got so tired that all we want is just BACK to hostel n KOON ............ batt got so low so low ....

 

 

NARA here we come !! haha okies, Jap teacher telling me to be careful of the deers again, so this time, we are FULLY prepared ... tactically ready with camera while Master Ang went to buy deer cookies... hey here cheaper leh 50yen cheaper  HA HA HA HA ... and the deers are milder, not that HIONG ... hence well less the fun hahaa... anticlimax haha.

then as we proceed to yet another world heritage site Todaiji where the Great Buddha hall is... and of cos la, the HENG factor here is to squeeze thru a hole of a supporting wooden posts in the hall - which is  same size as the Buddha's nostril !! apparently even my Jap teacher tells me to DO IT so that i can be VERY LUCKY ... mia TU liao !!! haha indeed its really really tight, kinda got to wriggle before i can get out !! hahah
POWERS UP. yeah

 

As we approached the Great Bell as part of the route - Master Ang decided to test his strength to strike the BIG BELL.... hey hey hey the floor SHOKE !! the windows around it shoke !! wah liao eh ... did he destroy it!??!? chop chop lets run mann... if not tomolo headline - SGs wreak history bell ... hahaha ... even an auntie came and check the bell ...

okok pretend nothing happen, we went ahead to another heritage shrine Kasuga Grand Shrine hahahhaa ...

then onwards to Horyuji Shrine !!!

 

super rush of time as we demo our Zehng KS spirit of SG to the shrine cos it closes at 4pm !!
The Horyuji Shrine is the oldest wooden one in Japan and also another heritage one !! and now then i know fr my Jap teacher that it is build without any NAILS ...cool siahhh... wat a contrast with the Nijo castle where the nails is used not as building structure but to create sound effects !! hehehe innovative !!
another cheapo tip - entry to the shrine is lesser by 200yen when u go there at 4pm - but risk being shut away hahahaha !!

As i read thru these phrases, it seems taht it stems from 人性本善. That's why u hv all these sayings which is an encouragement to the gals & guys suffering in silence due to their 仁.

My ex-colleague came to tell me that "Good People will be blessed". However there is another one who tells me that: Everyone thinks that he or she is a good person.
haha how contradicting. So HOW?

 

As azure puts it 如今小人当道，世风日下，道德沦亡，何时才能守的云开见月明呢？i begin to question, if the basis is correct, or as wat Mr Zeng, my chinese teacher mentioned before he gave up teaching chinese as he was quite upset with life. 人，经过社会的洗礼，以忘了最初的本，最善良的心，以怨报德， 自甘堕落。水深火热中的煎熬让人丧失了灵魂， 理智，对于事物充满了怨恨，极端的嫉妒， 可惜可惜。。。。

Welcome to the Art of Ji -ing, a mesmerising performance of the "洪氏 - 排挤功" aka / 短程 - 挤功夫. Indeed, it's been a very rewarding experience with the guest appearance of Master Ang and his beloved beau Mistress San San on a super long bus trip with azure to the city of Hiroshima & also Miyajima.

 

In this 2 episode of Nihon Busu jounery where azure went on bona fide Nihon way of travelling style hahah ok ok lah azure's own cheapo style to travel out of tokyo to be a mad tourist again .... Master Ang & San has demonstrated their overwhelming interest to join me in this journey and also to experience azure's backpackers trip hahaha....

 

As u probably have read along the theme of azure's complains abt the high cost of living in Japan and the siao taxes, then being sucha kapor, wud wana travel this plc .... so thanks to my wonderful colleague Matsunaga san who sent me a link to some highway buses that i can take as an alternative to the bullet in my pocket bullet trains haha....

 

As usual, no idea about the distance and damm garang abt the travel Japan notion, errhhhhere we experience the SG-Genting highland travel bus style back in the 1980s - errhh heng we are small sized ... its a ULTRA crapped space in 13hours !!! and Bus Uncle never falls to let us off every 3 hour for an all-time favourite session of Master Ang --> the Squeeze Gongfu as he tells us with vivid demonstration on how to empty your shit & such. hahaha.. oops

 

ok ok abt destination - Hiroshima & Itsukushima Shrine !!
Errh ok short description for those who are not familiar... Hiroshima - one of the atomic bomb site, apart from Nagasaki back in 1945. Somehow realised that not many Japanese are keen to talk about it... cos as i spoke abt going there, many people seem to focus more on the Miyajima area - famous Itsukushima Shrine of the red torii gate which is out in the sea and it is said that it is sinking into the sea as the days passed ??? errhh better go there FAST FAST man... just in case mah, heheh it's also listed as some heritage site - so its a MUST SEE man.

 

of cos lah being there, with the power of tokyo-well-trained-super-legs as coined by Master Ang, we went on a walking tour after systemetically deciding our walking route. well well 2 onsite ME Engineers on ground leh -- aberthen ... ok ok me only 1/2 haha since i've not been using any engine skills, ai yah, some credits ok haha.. let me hao lian abit mah for comical value... okok back to the sites ....

Shukkeien Garden 缩景园 - apparently some garden which is supposed to be a "squeezed" 缩景version of the scenic Xi Lake 西湖  in Hangzhou, China. heheh azure saw the real one, so let's see this man... apparently some website mentioned abt Yang Gui Fei here, but errrhh didn't see anything like her there. hahaha. On hindsight, hey, did Master Ang get his intuition abt squeeze gungfu from this?? a pretty garden and we met a nice old lady here who speaks good English !! and she gave us some bread to feed the fish there - the BORA fish or something like tat ...its name... she is so affectionately sweet to Mistress San San which i suspect she must have looked like her daughters hahah ... so imagine we bidding farewell as she followed hahah !!! well the strange thing here is that the fish looked abit funny - seems like they have additional pectoral fins on the side which is usless?!?! errhh... before we suspects the acts of radioactive mutation, let me do some aqua marine search to determine the species here mann.....

 

Next we moved on in search of the Hiroshima International War Memorial Chapel - where there is a statue of the Pope ... and some inscripted words..... here Mistress San gave me a shocker - " WAR is the work of Man, WAR is the ...." she started reciting in a freakish ly stern manner in attempt to pro-create probably the Pope's intention ... i was trying to take some snapshots and WAH LIAO EHHHH shocked me as i turned to look at her and we BURST out laughing hahah as Mistress San realised her pseudo dammm convincing recital hahah. cool man. i shld have video-ed it haha.

 

okies then its the Hiroshima Castle - the Carp Castle, which is rebuilt since the whole area was already game-overed with the atomic blaze .... it looks beautiful with the cherry bloosom, adding a nice Jap flavour to it ...errh wat am i talking abt its Japan lah bo-do hahaha oops haha. ok ok so its a modern interior castle and there u see loads of samurai swords .....

of COS then its the MUST - EAT item --> hungry stomach cannot deter us, although ultra low in batt, in search of the Okonomiyaki mura aka the noodle village  (the stir-fry noodles in Jap style). Okies so we wack the shop with the most signatures on the shop front lah. hehehh celebrity leh, sure good rite, cos really NO IDEA how to choose man, its all the same kind !!! and of cos being a nihongo wakarimasen (duno Jap) so its a tough call mate....

 

Then its a LIVE history lesson as we walked through the site of the atomic bomb dome - where the bomb exploded just above it, spreading the intense heat tat game-over-ed everyone instantly ...  the dome is still standing there evoking a chain of sad imagination ...

Then we pass thru the Children's Peace Monument with the story of the young girl who was down with leukemia and her classmates helped her with her unfulfilled wish of folding 1000 paper cranes as there is a Japanese myth where she believed that she will recover if she folded that ... but now its thousands of cranes there, as we see people hanging more and more !!!

 

The light burning at the Peace Memorial Hall which says to symbolise the existence of nuclear weapons will be extinguish if there is no nuclear weapons in this world -- duno man, i felt strongly for it and hope silently that it will extinguish soon.... although this is my wishful thinking lah. small fry here, this one is world affairs leh. besides the world is full of strange homosapiens haha. wat to do.

 

The cheapest site entrance till now that i feel which is worth more than its value will be this Hiroshima Peace Musuem ... for 50yen only !! u see a good exhibit of the atomic bomb stories and some errhh gross skin samples, pics etc ... its educational yet mind-disturing to know that it actually happened juz freaky 60yrs ago .... somehow very mixed feeling ....

 

hhmm... after a LONG day, we all zonked off to koon, all buay tong liao lah -- cannot tarhan mann... imagine Master Ang & San who are panda-eyed with a i-cannot-sleep face on the bus. Azure is pretty amazed by their Gong Fu awaky-ness. haha. And of cos, being very health concious for azure's poor health & constipation problem. Master Ang decided to demonstrate the art of 挤功, he says the skill for some good amount of shit ...is to squat there and he has successfully done it !! wah wee, can't say i'm not impressed as he drag me into the same posture so that once i can get the "feeling" i can go and bomb the toilet. HA HA HA HA cannot lah, wah liao eh, i think i rather die of laughter and / or suffer the facetal internal poison then to do the stunts as demo-ed in super goodwill/ faith by Master Ang as well as his all-time true follower Mistress San San. ok ok i shall stop divulging the JI-GUNG-HU here hahahah .... any interested parties pls feel free to contact Master Ang. He has already given me prvi rights to intro his stunts in my blog haha.

 

Hehehe Miyajima is a fun place. all the more fun with the deers roaming freely in the park haha. Being a lover of animals, azure decided to buy the deer cookies at 200yen to feed the deers there. WEE WEE, eh mia siao siao ok, the deers there are dammmmmmm SMART. somehow they seemed to be able to identify tourist who is buying the deer cookies from the man. As my 200yen goes into the tricycle-pedal Uncle, and he handed me the stack of cookies, while asking me to break them .... errhh RUN man RUN !! loads of deers come clamouring over you like you their all-time fav Rock Singer... all the fanatic deer fans... wahhhhh no time to break the cookies, siammm ahhh. ... screaming, jumping, running around !! ahhh... uurgghh... ahhh  feed feed throw throw ... ehh Master Ang, heelllppp.... !!  Champion of the wonder horse still taking azure's comical pics .... haha ... With his innate martial arts pugilistic spirit, he took the cookies and the deers changed target --> about turn 180degs, ker-blakan pu-sing, wah liao all aimed him and some in  desperate attempt went to kiss / bite his ass hahah !!

 

oops this is supposed to be the red torii gate thingy rite haha... okok  back to main topic. its a low tide when we went there, so managed to see the place on ground, and there are small crabs !!

also also, forget to mention, one of the MUST-BUY item is the wooden spoon here... there is a largest one in the world here haha not bad rite. According to the folklore, the spoon is suppoed to scoup in the good luck and also scoup out the bad luck. heheh HENG HENG factor comes into effect again. how can anyone miss this RITE !! hehehhehe

 

A timely time hahah there is a festival and there is a workshop on Japanese calligraphy on the wooden spoon !! wah hoh say liao man !! instead of paying those tourist gimmick wooden spoon souveniors for 500yen upwards, we paid 200yen to experience how to WRITE some auspicious words or our translated names on the wooden spoon in Japanese calligraphy brushes -- yah lah 200yen of cos DIY wat u expect haha -- My Sensei for the event is Yuka san, as she demo her Japanese calligraphy skills haha. not bad sia ....

errrh think we made so many noise and laughter that errhh .... isn't it supposed to be quiet & steady hands for calligraphy ahahaha

hehehee... so again we cheong all the shrines/ pagodas and of cos the MUST EATS again la. This time the list gets longer

hehehe not bad leh sounds like a gourmet tour hahaa. how can life be without FOOD haha OMG

 

As Confucius say 三人行，必有我师焉，really mannn .....this trip has been a good learning experience from duo Masters.

 

azure haven really lak gu ="popular in hokkien" siahhh... maybe bec the country is Jit Puen haha. or otherwise cos azure haven's fengshui is beri the good say hahaha. Jin hoh say ahh.

 

yet spending another CNY in tokyo - this time round, azure managed  to upkeep my cooking styles to be more edible, n then its black pepper snow crab & sharkfin - hahaha mai siao siao ehhh, not bad rite. i cook one leh. hahah hai lian abit. since its a boring day as i write this column.

 

oops this is supposed to be on the izu .... errh ok ok brain not working haha. anyway this happened in the cny period la just shortly after the Big HO-ing trip. cos DC & FT was here mah. so nice of them to bring me CNY goodies fr SG. hhaha. Again i feel so so so touched - thanks to all my ex colleagues fr SEB who always always lom bang anyone who is coming up to Japan all the goodies to make sure tat i dun lose out while in tokyo .... wahh beri the kam tong u know 感人肺腑 。。。

really feel the warmth & the friendships mannn.... even my colleague-turned good pal Ah Be is here !! just simply fantastic

and so DC & FT came with all the goodies for a cool Heng factor to my hse hahaha. Since Ume is in season, we decided to travel down to Izu for Atami 1st as the annual 34th ume matsuri (festival) is there !! heheh okies man, let's set n go ahhh !!

so we go around and as usual, very the kapor, went over to the whole sector of small booths to raki wats up in the market. again, as with the Japanese style, whereever there is park / festival, there is parsa malam ("market place"). hehehe but the difference fr SG is tat there is alway some freebies - free food !! haha

 

being super KS SG, sure waht, check it out mann..... as we walked, we are offered green tea which the auntie brag the best - please lah, everything also ICHI-BAN --> meaning the best, okies la we so thirsty & cold, at tat moment in time, anything also tasty one la hahah.... ok ok then we are given this small brown thing.  "oiishi oiishi" Mr Brown-Thing seller exclaims and as usual we are given samples of one each. okies wah, check this man, at the corner it says  Japan BEST leh.

 

so we gobbled it up and well well its FRESH UME !! and within 2 secs, our tastebuds simulataneouly hits our brains & psuedo-coordinated action, 3 of us PUI ahhhh !!!

hahah terribly sour, really JIN SENG ahhh too sour mannnn .... worse than those lemon sweet prangs we use to eat in school and azure dun take sour plum so its even more disasterous hahahaa !!! and Mr Brown-Thing stared at us in amazement - errhh are u all human, its so nice, how can u all puke??!?

 

this reminds me of the potent Jit Puen Nato - the yellow beans. hahah errhh just like our durian to their nato. some like it some hate it. errh i think durian is so good but no no for nato !! haha

 

so we continued our journey through the gardens & also out to the small harbour n view the sunset .....

then its back to the hotel for a NICE onsen !! hahah it was DC & FT 1st time to an onsen, so azure aka tour guide gave some mini lecture series hahaha and took all the crap pics with our pose !! hahah

 

oh yah yah before i go, must add to this....... the buffet spread in the hotel is fab mannn!! we had like 5 plates of crabs hahahha cos we sit so near to the table la ... errh not intentional but somehow so heng hahah and there are MORE CRABS on the table !!!!!!! sugoi desu ne.

 

aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm so so so so so so so tireedddddd

just so so so so so tired - mentally, physically, psychologically, emotionally, professionally, watever the lly ....

 

no time to sleep, no time to read, no time to eat, no time to talk, no time to do anything ...... can't believe it that i'm doing things every other hour. yah yah i know that people always complain no time cos u shld make time for things and plan... i even recalled the book where i read years ago on time management -- where u do an audit check of your time then u will realised how much time u have wasted.

instead of finding my supposingly "free time", wah liaos ehhh, worse mannnn, i think i got a horror shock when i did the audit. "i maxed my time" OMG, i can even recall everything i do by the hour waht a nitemare. sounds like i'm rushing to re-born 赶着去投胎 / 即将溺毙而死 （drown & die) with my things-to-dos something like that - last rush hour.回光反照。。。。

 

for those who think how come i can still look damm eng with a updated blog. yah man either i type this with a 10mins break fr lunch at my desk pc or that 5mins break inbetween my deals & save it in a draft & upload fr time to time. not bad rite. good time management, but wrong impression. worse still your friends tinks u are so @#$%^& FREE  hahaha nice joke. try living a day in life of azure.

okies okies, FINAL one on the HO-ing Trip ....

 

in anycase as usual to make thy ¥ worth to the max, azure also went on another festival @ Otaru !! hehehehhe... just abt 30mins on train from Sapporo, here it is small town which is really sweet -- ok ok v touristy n good for getting touristy $$ hahah... the whole town just makes me feel like it is a tourist place like Sentosa cos see more tourist here and GOOOSSHHH the buying power mannn....

it was slightly different fr the ones in Sapporo, here its along the canal/  river bank of old warehouses that added a nostalgic feel in the festival. its not exactly that impressive as compared to the one in Sapporo but it has that kind of next-door-home-made touch that warms the heart .... everywhere u see home-made designs and also ice figures that seems to emphasis the LOVE theme .... ok maybe its written there in Japanese but ai yah ur frend here duno mannn... hahah see also dun understand lah... but i do get a lovey dovey feeling hehehheehe.....

 

then as usual, haha azure is again in some TV show .... oops i forgot to add in this section in the abashiri hahah apparently azure went on the same boat as some Jap TV celebrity host hahah and they wanted to interview Prof Dan abt his Hokkiado experience & tot that ur frend here is a Jap errhhh KNS hahah so speak to me in Jap & ask me to translate !!!!  errrhh siao liao mannn... hahah

anyway this one is better, azure just sneaking out behind the TV crew & well,, fingers-crossed tat pls ahhhh DUN LET MY COLLEAGES see me hahaha

cos not many ppl know tat i sneak out to this freaky cold place hahaha

indeed its beautiful, those crystal music & also musical boxes & the kitaichi glassware .....the whole place just look so peaceful so lovey haha good to bring ur wife / gf here mannnn...

 

can't resist, bought a sake glass set here at the Kitaichi place - it is SOOO COOL, got even a  ice pocket so that it cools the sake but not dilute it. It's high living as one of my frends laughed at me .... cos why buy it when u dun drink sake hahaha... anyway ai yah sure got chance to drink with it lah !!!  in anycase the ¥ damage is severe ... oops haha. well well, its now nicely laid in my tokyo apartment.......

and being here in Hokkaido, how can not try the ice-cream here - since my colleague told me that the melon soft ice cream is GOOD !! so well heheh i buy lah !! mistake man.. soooo cold and well u get occasion stares from passer-by .... eating ice-cream in WINTER hahaha....

 

This is the final leg of my HO trip other than all the sites n also the funny places that i've been. It's also the town where my teacher came from so she is so proud of it. And somehow Japan really maxi tourist $$, so the highlight is FOREIGNER CEMETARY hahaha...
this trip in CNY, somehow see all the weird thing... choyyy !!! hahaha Heng ah before this already get the Heng Heng Bean fr the Sumo wrestler at Narita hahaha....

 

so well since its a place where Japan got its 1st contact with ang moh & there is even some WWII plaque or wat ... the whole town is not bad, looks werid somehow cos alot of churches, Greek church, Russian church etc & loads of Embassy which is now abit the phuar phuar like tat leh .... since left vacant ... ghostly feel ....

 

hahah but the real highlight is the Goryakaku Park / Tower .... the star shapped park and the newly built tower !! its some story abt the guy who is so Hero lah, wana help frend, defend enermy and kana shot, game overed. But then hor have to saluate lah, he is so brotherhood kind mannn.... for he sake of his frends and also his army led by a strict rules which is incidently written as "Sincerity". The story is quite touching man.... do a google. its a nice one.

errrh of cos there is some highlights here haha with azure lost in road and also some aunties & ah pek tried to help hahaha very very funny but u really touched man .... ah pek duno how to say ang moh, just action action --> U  1 person !!!!!!!! noooo nooo  <hand signals where ??> and <hand signal U FOLLOW ME> something like tat when i decided to just point where i wanna go from the MAP .... Trappist Convent HA HA HA HA he laffed .... he tot i was mad to go there BUT BUT the stoopid map says its a tourist place mah ....
errhh when i reach there then i know .... cos u need to walk like a monkey to see only outside ...... 
maybe our SG tourism board shld try learning from them ... even cemetary - ang mohs n cheena also can be cool tourist pts, we got more races & religion leh heheheh - wat a black joke

 

Friends / helps etc ..........
yups this more or less sums things up. there are alot of nice people tat i met along the way Tei & co. - a group of Kyoto university Masters students,  which we called Tei the leader --> LP short for Lonely Planet cos he is really super garang .... rides the bike with his camping tools n goes everywhere in Japan !!! u shld see his gadget bag this round - kerosene stove & mess tin & maggi etc etc .... 
not to mention all the cool aunties & uncles whose help is really appreciated though i never know ur name but u know u helped a mad singaporean gal around this freaky cold place with such warm kindness !!

 

Indeed, there are still alot of nice people around !! And it is true, people in Hokkaido are very very helpful !!

 

hehehehe cool rite, dun go heaven go hell ? still machiam so scenic somemore go Hell Valley hahaha..... okies man. this is Noboribetsu -- Jigokudai

apparently this is some kinda sulphur stream and its winter so its all COVERED in snow haha... eeerrh ok ok lah u get to see some stuffs - boiling waters & big boiling waters all over. smell it man. nature's perfume haha.

 

As usual, life is never peaceful with azure. Even with the quiet nature up here. something just have to happen.....
okies man, first u get greeted with some strange blue or red horned-head statues with those base-ball bats look-a-like with thorns weapons & looking damm fierce siahhhh....  haha but tourist lah, u must take some pics of it haha. okok then u get greeted by some mummy-fied bear at the JR station - errh sounds errie hahaha. apparently there is a bear park .....

okies side-track abit, now u wonder where is the source of bears for the bear curry?!?! it is real mannn.... bear curry & bear park ..... yucks sicko so @#$%^& sicko. okies pigs sty /  chicken farm but bear park ?!?

 

Back to the Hell adventure. so after putting all the barang barang in the ultra expensive no. 1 hotel in this area (okies man enuff of kooning at those hostels / dorms zzz) so its finally a HOTEL hehehee... well my japanese teacher says here is famous for onsen so might as well splurge abit la. (1nite here = 7 nites my dorms)

 

Way to climb mannn.... okies after asking Mr Hotel Dai-ich man how to get to Hell Valley, again he gave the signature japan displeasure, "NOOOOooooo noooo nooo. cannot cannot. snow noooooo nooo...., close close no no cannot close" something like that. So as usual, can't be bothered to ask anymore & he dun wana even give me a map. Luckily got it at the train station.... so just wack lah,  No wat No, No also like that.

so just walked along the road leading to the climb and then somehow maybe there a sign or blockage, but who cares, anyway the japanese character knows me i also duno it la, so walk lor.... phew now that i'm on higher ground, look back, ehh??!? how come got gate / payment  booth there huh ? u mean must pay meh? oh hehhehe errhh... forget it lah. then somehow it struck me tat errhh probably, the blockage says NO ENTRY haha. errhh abit the late la, just go lor.

 

then as azure went further, really, the whole plc is filled with snow. then ONE STEP ... WAROS OMG, my knee went right in & the snow is till knee height !!!!!!!!! ok ok i'm a shortie, but well its KNEE deep.... shitto man duno wat i'm stepping hahaha .... nevermind la, another Mt Fuji climb lor ...Once up there, the view is GLAM ... once again azure's mind is deep within the Hell Valley - the works of nature ..... u start to imagine if Hell is like tat, boiling up hahaha.

 

okies man backtrack, oops. errhh shackks ... forgot its an uphill climb, now HOW to go down huh????  oops the road seems innocently covered with snow that the signs dun really help .... eeerhh as i went, its like steeper n steeper ... somehow my CG is not as low as i thought when i'm such a shortie haha... okies man... idea struck. The brain says --> USE UR ASS. hahah okies mannnn cool. since i'm covered in waterproof jackets, com'on man, SLIDE my way down lah..... yooohoos... man mai tooo liao ... sit down pulling the jacket over ass, ears muffled up n weeeeee heeeee  with the ride of ur life haha, fingers-cross that i'm not sliding some ponds or wat craps n fall into cold waters hahaha .....

 

ok now we know roads are closed for a reason ....

 

then somehow, so happening, azure sure so dramatic, then slide down n see a sign that reads in Japanese --> Natural Foot bath !! errh in the middle of nowhere with a hot stream of water and some wooden like benches .... wahh man this is one highlights of this plc, the nature footbath cos its shaped in such a way tat u can rest ur "worked" ass and then sit there while enjoying the hot water & the minerals... heheh scooped up the mud, its black & looks like those for facial hahaha....

 

BUT as usual, nothing comes so smoothly, azure duno for wat reason, decided to put on a toe-enclosed  stockings that was bgt from the shops which apparently keeps the feet warm for sgd 12 .... and so seeing this SPOT, and no way i can take out this stockings (cos wearing jeans also la) eerrh not keen to be a nudist .... so .... after a series of tots. wat the heck la, just destroy the stockings lah......  wallet/ heart bleed as the keys (no cutter so improvised) cut a slit for the toes ..... hahahaha warm nice soak after a long day's climb .... errhhh i forgot that i didn't bring towel .... how to clean feet & put on shoes???!?!?! feet freezes once out of water .....................

oh ya btw there is really a God of Hell statue that is animated and goes HA HA HA in Japanese speech at certain times of the day while flashing its red eyes ... interesting.
